Copper pot stills for working distilleries
We fabricate copper distillation equipment for craft distilleries, whiskey makers, and liquor plants. The real question is how much copper the vapor touches before the condenser. On our pot stills, the copper onion, lyne arm, and vapor path do the work. A stainless boiler can save money, but if your spirit needs copper character, keep that contact zone copper.
Pick capacity from your run sheet
200L fits a small taproom or test distillery. 300L and 500L suit growing whiskey or rum producers running several batches a week. 1000L makes sense when you have steady wash supply and tank space. We ask for wash charge, target proof, run length, and batches per week. That tells us more than a “standard” size request.
Electric or steam heating
Electric is common where no boiler exists. It is simpler to install, but power supply matters. A 500L electric still may need 30–45 kW; confirm your service. Steam gives faster heat-up and gentler control, and it suits 1000L and up if you already run a boiler. We build both. Give us voltage, phase, steam pressure, and floor drain details before we size the jacket.
Options that change the run
A gin basket, agitator, and condenser type are not add-ons we guess at. Agitation helps grain-in washes and prevents scorching. A shotgun condenser saves cooling water. A column or doubler changes proof and flavor. Tell us what you make now and what you plan to add later.
Before we quote
Send drawings or photos of the space, ceiling height, door width, voltage, steam pressure, water supply, and local code notes. If you have a wash recipe and target output, include that. Shipping and rigging are easier to plan when we know the final room, not just the still size.
