Most 3000 L units we ship go to distilleries that already run a 500 L or 1000 L still and are tired of two shifts to fill one bottling order. This one is a multifunctional frame — copper column, gin basket, and an integrated CIP loop on a single skid.
Why 3000 L, and when it isn\’t the right number
200 L and 300 L stills suit start-ups testing recipes. 500 L fits a taproom or a small contract distillery. Once you\’re stripping six to eight washes a week, 3000 L starts paying for itself in labor alone. If your boiler can\’t hold steam pressure through a full run, though, a bigger still just makes longer days.

Where the copper actually sits
Copper goes in the column plates, the vapor path above the pot, and the gin basket. That\’s where sulfur compounds and heavy congeners get scrubbed. The pot body and outer shell stay 304 stainless — cladding a 3000 L pot in copper adds cost and cleaning work without changing what comes off the parrot.
Heating, botanicals, cleanup
Steam jacket is the default at this size. Electric works, but you need 380–480 V three-phase and a serious kW budget. The gin basket sits inline above the column so you can swap botanicals mid-run without breaking the vapor seal. CIP is a spray ball and a dedicated pump loop — worth having if you alternate gins and whiskeys in the same week.

Send batch size per run, target ABV, whether you\’re charging wash or low wines, available steam pressure or kW, ceiling height, footprint, voltage and phase, plate count you want, and if you need an agitator or a separate condenser. A couple of phone photos of the room help more than a floor plan. You\’ll get a drawing back, not a catalog page.
