Description
We build 2000L copper pot stills for distilleries that have outgrown 500L and 1000L runs but aren\’t ready to move to continuous columns. A 2000L charge gives you roughly 350–450 liters of usable spirit per stripping run, depending on wash ABV and how hard you cut. Most customers at this size run two or three mashes a week with a small crew.

Where copper actually matters
Wash vapor should touch copper from the pot head through the lyne arm — that\’s where sulfides get scrubbed. We keep stainless out of the vapor path unless you\’re chasing a purely neutral spirit. On gin builds we set a copper basket above the plates so botanicals see copper rather than stainless mesh.
Steam or electric on a 2000L charge?
A steam jacket heats faster and holds a gentler curve, usually 45–60 minutes to first distillate. Electric costs less to install if you have no boiler, but you\’ll need 60–80 kW available and a service that can carry it. Two of our last three 2000L orders went steam because the buildings already had a header.
What we need before quoting
Send wash ABV, target proof, batch frequency, ceiling height, floor loading, and your steam or power supply. That decides neck height, plate count, and whether an agitator makes sense for grain-in fermentation. A 2000L still ships in a 40-foot container; the column travels in two sections and gets flanged on site.
