Description

A portable double-tank CIP unit is usually specified when a plant needs a dedicated cleaning skid for one line, a group of tanks, or movement between rooms. We build the caustic and acid/rinse tanks, pump, piping, valves, and controls onto one stainless frame with practical access for maintenance.

The cycle is straightforward: pre-rinse, caustic wash, intermediate rinse, acid wash when required, final rinse, and drain. Temperature, flow, pressure, and level monitoring help operators repeat the same cycle instead of judging it by sight. Return-line conductivity or turbidity sensors can be added when the project calls for them.

Before quoting, we confirm tank volume, circuit count, pipe diameter, soil type, water quality, and heat source. A dairy line with long transfer mains needs different flow and return balance than a compact beverage blender. Oversizing the pump adds cost; undersizing it leaves dead legs and weak spray coverage.

Available configurations, confirmed per project: single-, double-, triple-, or multi-tank layouts; caustic and acid tanks; hot-water tank; electric or steam heating; CIP supply and return pumps; stainless piping, valves, and fittings; temperature, flow, pressure, and level instruments; manual, semi-automatic, or PLC control; custom tank capacity, cleaning circuits, and automation.

Applications

Double-tank CIP systems are used in dairy processing, beverage production, breweries, distilleries, sauce manufacturing, liquid food processing, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical production. Cleaning requirements vary by product residue and plant protocol, so we review wetted materials, surface finish, and rinse water quality before fabrication.

FAQ

How do I choose tank capacity? Start from the volume and wetted area of the largest circuit, then balance dilution, rinse recovery, and floor space.

Can the skid be moved? Portable frames are built with casters or lifting points; final configuration depends on tank size and site access.

What information speeds a quote? Send tank and pipe drawings, product residue, required cleaning capacity, heat source, automation level, stainless grade, and installation location.

Customer Review

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
