Description

What this cart-mounted CIP plant does

A CIP system circulates cleaning solution through tanks, pumps, valves, and piping so process lines can be cleaned without dismantling. Single-tank through multi-tank skids are available; this cart is offered in two-, three-, and five-vessel layouts. Two vessels often cover caustic and rinse. Acid, hot water, or recovery stages may require more. We build to the process, not a fixed catalog list.

How the cleaning cycle runs

Returned solution enters the balance tank, passes the pump, and moves through heating, flow monitoring, and supply valves before reaching the circuit. Temperature, flow, pressure, and level are monitored at agreed points. PLC control can step through pre-rinse, caustic, intermediate rinse, acid, final rinse, and drain. Manual and semi-automatic operation suit simple recipes or direct operator control.

Where CIP is used

Dairy, beverage, brewery, distillery, sauce, liquid food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical plants use CIP on tanks, fillers, pasteurizers, homogenizers, mixers, transfer lines, and valves. Soil type, surface finish, line length, and temperature affect cleaning. We review those details before recommending tank volume, pump duty, and circuit layout.

Tank count and capacity

Two vessels suit shorter campaigns and fewer chemicals. Three to five help when acid and caustic must stay separate, hot water is reused, or changeovers are frequent. Capacity comes from circuit volume, rinse ratio, and floor space—not a single headline number. Oversized tanks raise heating cost; undersized tanks shorten cleaning time.

Typical project specifications

Cleaning tank capacity Sized from circuit volume and rinse ratio
Tank quantity 2, 3, or 5 vessels; other layouts by project
Stainless grade 304 or 316L wetted parts as specified
Heating Electric or steam, based on site utilities
Pump flow and pressure Selected for circuit pressure drop and turbulence
Operating temperature Set by cleaning chemistry and project requirements
Control Manual, semi-automatic, or PLC/HMI
Cleaning circuits Single or multiple supply/return routes
Power Site-specific; confirmed at order
Dimensions Cart layout based on tank count and access
Custom options Tank volume, loops, automation, cart arrangement

These are project-dependent; confirm features for the specific model or order.

Purchasing questions

Can we add a vessel later?

Sometimes. Space, frame, piping, and PLC I/O need review at the original build. Retrofits are easier when the cart leaves room for expansion.

What data speeds a quote?

Pipe diameter, circuit length, elevation, fittings, target flow, soil type, heat source, and cleaning schedule. Spray device pressure requirements matter too.

Send project details

Tell us your industry and processed product, tank and piping details, required cleaning capacity, heat source, desired automation level, stainless steel grade, and installation location. We will review the circuits and recommend tank configuration, pump duty, and control scope. Custom tank volumes, cart layouts, and PLC sequences are handled by our engineering team. Factory-direct stainless fabrication and engineering support are part of the build.

Customer Review

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
