Description
200 L brewhouse: compact batch production without plastic fermenters
This 200 L brewhouse is built for pilot batches, taproom brewing, recipe trials, and small-volume production. We configure it as a heated brewhouse vessel plus a jacketed conical fermenter. The package suits brewers moving from plastic or unjacketed tanks to stainless equipment with real temperature control, pressure protection, and clean-in-place cleaning. Production engineers usually check batch repeatability, utility demand, floor space, and cleaning access before they ask for a quotation.
Materials and fabrication
Wetted parts are SUS304 by standard; SUS316L is available for higher chloride exposure or stricter product-contact requirements. We TIG weld vessel seams, pickled and passivated where needed, and polish internal surfaces to Ra ≤0.8 µm. External surfaces are brushed or mirror-polished to match the room. Gaskets are EPDM or silicone, with clamp fittings for easy replacement. Jackets are pressure-tested, and each fermenter receives a safety valve set to the agreed working pressure. Insulation and outer cladding reduce condensation in cold rooms.
Applications and selection points
These units fit brewpubs, teaching breweries, beverage trial labs, and small craft breweries. A 200 L batch is useful for seasonal releases and market tests, but it is not a substitute for a larger commercial brewhouse with dedicated mash, lauter, kettle, and whirlpool vessels. Choose a conical fermenter when you need yeast recovery, trub removal, and dry hopping with less oxygen pickup. Cooling jacket area matters more than tank volume alone; confirm glycol temperature, ambient room conditions, and expected fermentation load. Small breweries often need flexible connections and manual valves, while commercial plants usually specify automated temperature control, larger CIP lines, and stricter documentation.

FAQ
Why control fermentation temperature? Yeast performance and flavor stability depend on it. A glycol jacket lets you hold ale or lager profiles instead of following room temperature.
How does CIP work? A spray ball wets the tank head and walls; CIP liquid returns through the cone outlet. Keep pipe runs short and use clamped connections for inspection.
What should I prepare before a quote? Batch size, beer styles, batches per week, glycol supply temperature, available floor space, ceiling height, voltage, and CIP or steam availability.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
