Description
We build the 3000L copper pot still for distilleries that need real batch capacity. Most buyers come to us after running 500L or 1000L systems and hitting a wall: too many stripping runs, too much labor, not enough barrel fill. A 3000L still usually fits a mid-size craft distillery or contract distiller. If you are still doing 200L test batches, this size is overkill. If you sell in multiple states or run a tasting room plus distribution, it starts to make sense.
What we see on the factory floor
Steam heating gives even heat and fast response, but you need a boiler and return lines. Electric heating avoids the boiler, yet 3000L needs serious kW and a stable power supply. We usually ask for wash ABV, target proof, and batch time before quoting. Copper contact matters in the pot, neck, lyne arm, and condenser. Stainless works for the shell and jacket, but flavor production still relies on copper where vapor travels.

Options change the quote more than most people expect. A gin basket, agitator, or extra condenser can add cost and lead time. Shipping a 3000L still is not a crate job—you need door width, ceiling height, rigging, and floor drains planned before delivery. Maintenance access around the manway and condenser should be checked early.
Send us wash ABV, target proof, batch time, steam pressure or kW, room layout, and local code. We will size the column, condenser, and piping to match your run sheet, not a catalog guess.
