Description
Most 200L stills that leave our floor go out as complete whiskey and rum systems — boiler, column, condenser, and collection vessel on one frame. The column is what separates the two jobs. Packed and run with reflux, it pulls a cleaner, lighter rum distillate. Pull the packing, drop the reflux, and the same body works as a straight pot still for a heavy, oily whiskey wash.

On heating: electric suits a small room with limited boiler capacity, and it is what most craft clients start with. Once you move to grain-in washes or run more than one batch a day, steam gives you faster ramp and far less scorching risk on the bottom. We build both shells, so the choice is made before fabrication, not after.
Copper placement matters more than copper volume. The vapor path has to be copper — dome, column internals, lyne arm, and condenser tube bundle. The boiler shell itself can be stainless, which keeps the price down and makes cleaning easier.
Optional add-ons we fit regularly: a gin basket between column and condenser, a slow-speed agitator for grain mashes, CIP spray ball, and a larger condenser if your cooling water runs warm in summer.
For a quote, tell us the wash type and starting gravity, target proof at the parrot, batch size, heating source available, cooling water temperature, ceiling height, and the delivery port. Those seven answers usually fix the column height and condenser size on the first pass.
