Description

When a brewery steps up from pilot batches to a 2000L brewhouse, fermentation capacity becomes the bottleneck. This 2000L craft beer fermenter is built for that transition—whether you are a growing taproom or a regional production brewery adding tank volume.

We fabricate the tank from 304 stainless steel as standard, with 316L available for aggressive IPAs or sours where chloride exposure is a concern. The interior is pickled and passivated, then polished to a 0.4–0.6 µm Ra finish. All product-contact welds are full-penetration TIG, ground flush and inspected. No crevices, no sugar traps, no hidden nucleation sites for beer stone.

The dimple cooling jacket is not a decorative wrap. It provides a large surface area for glycol to pull heat during active fermentation—critical when you are dealing with a 2000L batch of lager or a high-gravity ale that throws significant exothermic load. Jackets are segmented for independent control on the cone and body if needed, and we pressure-test each one at 1.5× working pressure before shipping.

Manway placement matters. Top manway suits breweries with overhead clearance and CIP return routing. Side manway helps when headspace is tight or when dry hopping requires quick access. Tell us your ceiling height, floor layout and cleaning protocol—we will recommend the configuration that fits your building, not just your batch size.

Common Questions

Can I carbonate in this tank? Yes, with the correct pressure rating and a properly sized safety valve. Confirm your target CO2 volumes before ordering.

What glycol temperature do I need? Most ales ferment well with 28–30°F glycol supply. Lagers may require slightly lower. Your chiller capacity depends on batch count and turnover, not just tank volume.

How do I connect CIP and cold crash? We supply tri-clamp fittings and can pre-pipe manifolds if you send us your utility layout.

Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
