Description

1000L SS304 Conical Fermenter with Dimple Jacket

We build this 1000L unit for breweries that need a reliable single-tank fermentation vessel without moving to a full skid system. The tank works well for ales, lagers, stouts, and most clean beers where yeast is cropped from the cone. If you produce sour or highly acidic beverages, we normally switch wetted parts to 316L and adjust passivation.

The body and cone are SS304, 3 mm shell, with dimple jacket on the cone and lower cylinder. Dimple pattern gives even coolant coverage and keeps the jacket thin, which matters when floor space is tight. TIG welds are ground and pickled; internal surfaces are mirror polished to Ra ≤0.8 µm. Exterior can be mirror or satin, depending on washdown and visual requirements.

Cooling: jacket rated for 0.2 MPa working pressure, tested at 0.3 MPa. Glycol inlet/outlet 1.5 in tri-clamp. We fit a 0.2 MPa safety valve, pressure gauge, and sample valve. The cone is 60° for yeast discharge. CIP uses a rotating spray ball in the top manway; connect through 1.5 in tri-clamp. Dry hop port, racking arm, and carbonation stone are optional.

Capacity: 1000L nominal gives about 800–900L working volume with headspace for krausen. For double batches, confirm kettle size and fermentation schedule. Small brewpubs often choose two 1000L tanks over one 2000L tank for flexibility. Commercial breweries may prefer 316L, higher pressure rating, or ASME-style documentation.

What utilities are needed? Glycol loop at 28–30°F, CIP pump, and compressed air or CO2 for transfer.

How do I choose size? Match working volume to batch size, leave 20–25% headspace.

Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
