Description
2000L Turnkey Beer Fermentation Tank System
If you are planning a 2000L brewery, the fermentation tank is not just a vessel. It sets your batch rhythm, cooling load, cleaning schedule, and how much beer you can realistically push out every week. We build 2000L fermentation tanks as part of complete turnkey brewing systems, so the tank, jackets, piping, and controls arrive as one coordinated package instead of mismatched components.
What This Tank Does in Real Production
A 2000L unit typically handles one brew length, sometimes two if your brewhouse is smaller. The cone angle matters more than most buyers expect. A 60-degree cone helps yeast drop and trub compact, which shortens dumping time and reduces beer loss. For ales we often see 60-degree cones; for lagers, the same geometry works but cooling strategy changes.
Material and Fabrication Details
We use SUS304 for the inner shell as standard, with 316L available for aggressive cleaning regimes or high-chloride water. Welds are full-penetration and ground flush on product-contact surfaces. Interior polish is typically 0.4 to 0.6 micron Ra. Exterior can be brushed or mirror-polished depending on your cellar environment.
Cooling jackets are dimple or pillow-plate style, sized by fermentation heat load, not by tank volume alone. A 2000L tank fermenting a high-gravity ale generates more heat than the same tank running a standard lager. We calculate jacket area and glycol flow accordingly.
Pressure, CIP, and Connections
Working pressure is usually 1.5 to 2.0 bar, with a safety valve set to match. CIP is done through a spray ball mounted in the top manway or dedicated port. We position sample valves, racking arms, and carbonation stones so operators can reach them without climbing. Dry-hopping ports, if needed, go on the top dome.

FAQ
How many tanks do I need for 2000L? Depends on your fermentation time and packaging schedule. A 7-day ale cycle needs fewer tanks than a 21-day lager cycle for the same output.
Can I use this tank for both ale and lager? Yes, but cooling and pressure settings should be adjusted. Lager fermentation benefits from tighter temperature control and slightly different jacket sizing.
What utilities are required? Glycol chiller, CIP pump, compressed air for valves, and a floor drain near the tank.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
