200L Copper Pot Still: What We Actually Build
Most 200L copper pot stills leaving our shop go to distilleries in their first two years. Big enough to sell real volume, small enough to fit through a standard door and under a 9-foot ceiling. Gin producers, whiskey startups, a few brandy houses — same shell, different internals.
What the 200L number means
It is pot volume, not wash charge. Fill to 70–75% and you are running 140–150 liters per stripping run. Depending on your wash and your cuts, that is roughly 12–18 bottles at barrel strength.

Copper where it counts
Pot, neck, lyne arm, condenser tube bundle — all copper. Sulfur compounds bind to it. A stainless outer shell is fine; nobody pays extra for copper you cannot taste.
Options we get asked for most: gin basket in the neck, agitator for grain-in washes, shell-and-tube versus worm condenser. Steam jackets cost more upfront and need a boiler, but they run cheaper and treat the wash more gently than direct electric elements.
Before you ask for a quote
Send us wash ABV, target proof, heating source, ceiling height, floor drain position, and destination port. You will get a drawing and a real number back, usually within a few days.
