Description
We build the 200L electric heat explosion-proof distillation machine for distilleries that need a safe, turnkey vessel for whiskey, rum, moonshine, or alcohol stripping. The 200L boiler gives you roughly 140–160 L of usable charge, depending on headspace and wash foaming. If you run 5–7 batches a week, this size keeps one operator busy without tying up a full bottling line.
Most customers pick 200L because it fits a 2,000–4,000 sq ft craft distillery. Move to 300L when you add a second mash tun. 500L suits regional whiskey makers running double shifts. 1000L makes sense only if you have steam, bulk grain handling, and a floor drain system ready. Electric heat means no boiler room, but confirm your panel: 380V/50Hz or 480V/60Hz, 60–90 kW, explosion-proof wiring, and at least 200A service.
Steam heating still wins for 500L and up. It\’s gentler on wash, cheaper per batch at high volume, and easier to zone. Electric is simpler for 200L and 300L, especially where natural gas or boiler permits are a headache.
Copper contact matters in the vapor path and pot still head. We use copper in the column, lyne arm, and condenser when the recipe calls for sulfur stripping and richer mouthfeel. Stainless is fine for stripping runs and neutral spirit.
Options we quote often: gin basket, agitator, CIP spray ball, extra condenser, parrot, sight glasses, and explosion-proof controls. Tell us your wash ABV, target proof, batch time, ceiling height, floor load, water supply, drain, and shipping port. That gets you a real drawing and quote, not a generic spec sheet.
