Description
Batch sizes and what actually drives the selection
We build this set in 300, 500, 1000, 1500, 1800 and 2000 liter batches. The number on the quote matters less than your brew length, kettle-to-fermenter turnover, and how many brews you run in a day. A 1000L system on two brews daily feeds a very different tank farm than the same kettle fired once every three days. Give us your fermentation schedule and we size the hot liquor tank and heat exchanger around it.
Vessel construction
Inner shells are 3mm SUS304, with dimple jackets on kettle and HLT, 1.5-2mm outer cladding, and rock wool insulation. Where wort is acidic or your water carries chlorides, the kettle bottom goes to 316L — pitting shows up there first. Welds are argon back-purged, ground, pickled and passivated. Interior is 2B as standard, #4 polish on request. Tri-clamp, DIN or SMS connections.
Heating, cooling and control
Steam jackets, electric elements, or direct fire. Electric works well in 300-500L rooms with no boiler; from 1000L upward, steam usually wins on ramp time and cost per brew. Each jacket gets its own relief valve and gauge. Cold liquor, whirlpool and knock-out are piped to a common CIP loop so you are not breaking connections by hand between steps.

Questions that come up before the PO
Do I need a separate whirlpool? Under 1000L, a combined kettle/whirlpool is normal. Above that, a dedicated vessel keeps trub out of the heat exchanger during back-to-back brews.
Floor space and ceiling height? A 2000L kettle with a lift-out false bottom needs roughly 3.5m clearance. Measure the room before the drawing, not after.
Can it be expanded later? Yes — we keep the frame and piping modular so a second vessel or an extra fermenter can be tied in without replacing the brewhouse.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
