Description
Overview
Our 300L steam-heated brewhouse is a two-vessel system (mash/lauter tun and kettle/whirlpool) built for startups and brewpubs that need consistent, repeatable batches. We design it around a 300-liter finished wort volume, which typically yields 2–3 brews per week for a small taproom. The steam jacket on the kettle provides gentle, even heat—critical for avoiding scorching during high-gravity boils. Unlike direct-fired systems, steam lets you control the boil intensity precisely by adjusting the steam valve.
Materials and Manufacturing
We use 304 stainless steel for all product-contact surfaces as standard. If you\’re brewing with high-adjunct grists or sour beers, we can upgrade the kettle to 316L for better chloride resistance. All internal welds are ground flush and polished to a 0.8 µm Ra finish; we don\’t leave crevices where wort solids can hide. Exterior surfaces get a 2B mill finish unless you request a mirror polish for front-of-house visibility. Steam jackets are dimple-style, pressure-tested at 1.5x the working pressure (typically 3 bar). Gaskets are FDA-compliant silicone rated to 150°C, and all tri-clamp fittings meet 3A standards. We also account for thermal expansion in the jacket design—something that often gets overlooked in low-cost imports.
Applications
This system fits craft breweries, brewpubs, and pilot plants producing ales, lagers, stouts, and wheat beers. It\’s also used for contract brewing trials and recipe development. One customer in Oregon runs a 300L brewhouse for seasonal fruit beers—the steam heating lets them hold a gentle boil without scorching the fruit puree. Another in Texas uses it as a pilot system before scaling to a 20-barrel brewhouse.

FAQ
Can I use electric heating instead of steam? Yes, we offer electric immersion heaters, but steam gives you more even heat and avoids hot spots on the kettle bottom. For 300L batches, steam is usually more consistent.
What ceiling height do I need? Plan for at least 2.8 m to allow safe access to the top manway and CIP arm.
How is CIP handled? We include CIP spray balls in both vessels and pre-piped tri-clamp connections. You\’ll need a separate CIP pump and tank.
What\’s the lead time? Typically 8–10 weeks from deposit, depending on customization and steam jacket certification.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
