Description
This 1000L fermentation tank is built for breweries that have moved past pilot batches but still need tight control over fermentation temperature and yeast management. The red copper exterior is not just for appearance—copper conducts heat efficiently and gives the vessel a classic brewhouse character, while the internal wetted parts are SUS304 stainless steel for beer contact. If you are running ales, lagers, or mixed fermentation programs, the cone angle, jacket coverage, and pressure rating determine how well the tank performs in daily operation.
We fabricate the tank body from 3mm SUS304 plate, with 2B finish on the exterior and 320-grit polish on the interior. Welds are TIG welded and passivated, then inspected with dye penetrant testing on critical seams. The dished top and 60-degree cone bottom support full drainage and yeast recovery. A dimpled cooling jacket covers the cone and lower sidewall, connected to a glycol system for precise temperature control. The tank is rated for 0.2 MPa working pressure and equipped with a 0.3 MPa safety valve, pressure gauge, and sample valve. CIP is handled through a rotating spray ball in the top manway, with separate ports for CO2, blow-off, and racking arm.
Selection depends on your batch size and fermentation profile. A 1000L tank suits a 8–10 hl batch with headspace for krausen. If you ferment high-gravity beers, allow extra room. For lagering, jacket surface area matters more than volume alone. Small brewpubs often choose a single tank with a smaller footprint, while commercial breweries might specify 316L for sour programs or high-chloride water. Copper cladding adds cost and weight but is popular in taproom settings where the equipment is visible.

| Exterior | Red copper cladding |
| Working pressure | 0.2 MPa |
| Safety valve | 0.3 MPa |
| Cooling | Dimpled glycol jacket, cone + sidewall |
| Bottom | 60° cone |
| Manway | Top-mounted, 400mm |
FAQ: The tank is not a fermenter and bright tank combined unless specified. Working pressure limits carbonation—0.2 MPa is fine for most ales but check for high-carbonation styles. CIP requires a pump and correct spray ball flow. Glycol connections are 1.5-inch tri-clamp. Copper cladding is decorative and not in contact with beer.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
