Description
Brewhouse design for real production schedules
We build this brewhouse around the batch sizes your cellar can actually support, from 2000 L pilot batches to 10000 L production runs. The system combines mash tun, lauter tun, brew kettle and whirlpool in a layout that keeps transfers short and cleaning access clear. For craft breweries moving from pilot to packaged volume, the practical question is not the largest tank you can fit. It is whether heating, cooling and CIP can keep pace with your brew day.
Product contact surfaces use SUS304 as standard; we specify 316L where wort chemistry, high chloride cleaning or longer service life justify the cost. We control weld quality, pickling and passivation, and internal polish. Dimple jackets on the kettle and whirlpool support steam or hot water heating and chilled water cooling. Seal selection matters at every manway, valve and pump connection; EPDM and silicone are common, with PTFE where temperature and chemical exposure demand it.
Applications
Craft breweries, brewpubs, contract producers and beverage plants use these systems for ale, lager, wheat beer and non-beer fermentation. Skid-mounted and site-erected configurations are available. We match platform height, pipe routing and utility connections to the room, not the other way around.
| Capacity | Typical use | Heating | Control |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2000 L | Pilot and brewpub | Steam or electric | Manual or PLC |
| 2500–3000 L | Small craft brewery | Steam | PLC with recipe |
| 5000 L | Regional production | Steam | PLC and CIP |
| 10000 L | High-volume brewery | Steam | Automated PLC |
FAQ
How do I choose capacity? Start with packaged volume, brew frequency and cellar tank count. A 3000 L brewhouse running two brews per day needs different cooling and CIP capacity than a 5000 L system running once daily.
Why use cone-bottom tanks? They improve yeast recovery and drainage in fermenters; for brewhouse vessels, the bottom geometry affects whirlpool settling and trub removal.
How is CIP handled? We plan spray balls, pump returns and dead-leg control during layout. Utility headers for CIP, chilled water and steam should be sized before shipment.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
