Description
We build these tanks for roasters and beverage plants that need to hold brewed coffee, concentrate, or cold brew between extraction and filling. The 500L, 1000L, and 1400L sizes cover most small and mid-size production lines, and the same vessel is often used for tea, kombucha, or dairy-adjacent liquids when the plant runs shared equipment.
Cooling, not capacity, is usually the real constraint
Coffee left above 60°F keeps extracting and drifts bitter within a few hours. The side-wall dimple jacket on these tanks runs chilled water or glycol at 2–4°C. A 1000L unit with roughly 1.5 m² of jacket area pulls a full batch down in about 90 minutes, depending on the incoming product temperature and the chiller capacity you have on site. If your product enters hot, add a bottom jacket — it is cheaper to specify at the order stage than to retrofit later.
Fabrication
Shell and dish ends are SUS304, 2B finish, 3 mm on the 500L and 4 mm from 1000L upward. Internal welds are ground flush and passivated; product-contact surfaces receive a 320-grit polish. Insulation is 50–80 mm polyurethane under a 1.5 mm stainless cladding. Gaskets are EPDM or silicone, seated in tri-clamp ferrules. Standard fittings: 1.5 in outlet, CIP spray ball, sample valve, and a 2 in vent with pressure and vacuum relief. A low-pressure vessel still needs a relief valve sized to the vent — that is a safety item, not an accessory.
Specifications
| Model | Volume | Shell | Jacket area | Working pressure |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CT-500 | 500 L | 3 mm | 1.0 m² | 0.2–0.5 bar |
| CT-1000 | 1000 L | 4 mm | 1.5 m² | 0.2–0.5 bar |
| CT-1400 | 1400 L | 4 mm | 1.9 m² | 0.2–0.5 bar |
Questions we get before quoting
Do we need SUS316L? Only for high-chloride water or acidic additives. Most coffee applications are fine with 304.
Can one tank do hot and cold? Yes, but the jacket and insulation spec changes; tell us the temperature range.
How is CIP handled? Spray ball plus a 1.5 in drain; we can pre-pipe the CIP return if you send a layout.
Tell us your batch size, product type, required temperature drop, and available floor space. We can recommend tank volume, jacket area, and port configuration for your line.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
