Description
What This Tank Does in a Working Brewery
A 500L–1000L jacketed conical fermenter is a temperature-controlled pressure vessel used from fermentation through to conditioning. Whether you\’re running a small taproom system or a production brewhouse, the tank has to hold pressure, remove heat from an active fermentation, drop yeast cleanly, and stay sanitary between batches.
Build and Material Details
We fabricate the body and cone from SUS304 stainless steel as standard. For highly hopped or acidic recipes, 316L is available. Interior surfaces are pickled and passivated, with welds ground and blended to a sanitary finish. The dimpled cooling jacket covers the cone and lower cylinder. Insulation is typically 80–100 mm polyurethane, which matters when the tank runs in a warm cellar.
Top and bottom manways, dry-hop ports, racking arms, and sample valves are positioned based on how you plan to operate. Threaded, tri-clamp, or DIN connections are available to match your existing piping.
Cooling, Pressure, and Safety
Glycol flows through the jacket to hold fermentation temperature within a narrow band. A pressure relief valve is sized to the vessel rating, usually 1.5–3 bar. Never operate without it.
Applications
Ale and lager fermentation, IPA dry hopping, cider, kombucha, and pilot batches. Small breweries often choose 500L for test beers; commercial setups use 1000L for volume.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
