Description
We build the 600L system for distilleries that have outgrown pilot runs but are not ready for a full column still. Most customers moving from a 300L kettle tell us the same thing: batches get too small once wholesale orders start. A 600L charge gives you roughly 500–550L of usable wash after headspace, which lands closer to 60–75 cases per run depending on proof and cuts.
What the 600L skid includes
Our standard package uses a copper onion head and copper column sections where vapor contact matters. The pot, condenser shell, and piping can be stainless to hold cost down, but we keep copper in the vapor path. Electric heating runs 380V/50–60Hz, usually 36–48 kW. Steam adds a jacket or internal coil and needs a boiler; electric is simpler for rural sites. If your utility room is tight, steam can still make sense because it cuts electrical service size.
Options that change the build
Gin basket, agitator, CIP spray ball, extra condenser, and parrot are quoted per project. A gin basket adds maybe 150–200 mm to column height. Agitator helps grain-in and fruit mash. Plate condenser vs shell-and-tube depends on cooling water temperature and flow.

Before we quote
Send wash ABV, target proof, batch time, steam or electric, ceiling height, door width, cooling water temp, and local voltage. Those details decide column diameter, condenser size, and shipping crate. For a 200L or 300L start-up, we usually recommend electric. At 1000L, steam and a boiler room become the practical route. 600L sits in the middle where either choice can work.
