Description

What a 2000–5000 L line actually covers

We build complete brewhouses and fermentation lines sized around the package a brewery really sells. A 2000 L kit suits a taproom pouring most of its own beer. Above 4000 L, the numbers only work if you are filling cans or kegs and running two or three brews a day. Brewhouse, whirlpool, fermenters, bright tanks, glycol loop and CIP are quoted as one package, because a kettle that outruns your fermenter room is the most expensive kind of bottleneck.

Materials and fabrication

Product contact surfaces are SUS304 as standard; 316L is the right call for sour programs, high-chloride water or aggressive CIP chemistry. Interior welds are ground, pickled and passivated, polished to Ra ≤ 0.8 µm when the specification asks for it. Dimple-plate jackets on the cone and lower cylinder provide enough cooling area for a real crash from 20 °C to 2 °C, not a calculated one. Working pressure is 0.2 MPa, with a 0.3 MPa relief valve on the CIP arm and mechanical vacuum protection on the blow-off.

Typical configuration

Batch capacity 2000 / 3000 / 4000 / 5000 L
Material SUS304 or SUS316L
Interior finish Ra ≤ 0.8 µm
Cooling Dimple jacket, glycol, 2–3 zones
Cone 60° or 70°, with yeast outlet
Control PID glycol valves, optional PLC and logging

Where these vessels run

Brewpubs, contract breweries, cider and kombucha producers use the same shells with different valve and gasket specs. Fruit-forward and sour producers should settle on 316L and full-drain geometry before fabrication starts; changing material after welding is not a repair, it is a rebuild.

Questions we get before quoting

Can one glycol system serve every tank?

Yes, if it is sized on total cooling load rather than tank count. Two 5000 L tanks crashing at once pull far more than five tanks holding temperature.

Cone or flat bottom?

Conical for yeast harvesting, dry hopping and repitching. Flat or dish bottom belongs on bright beer and serving tanks.

What do you need from us?

Batch size, beer styles, tank count, ceiling height, available glycol capacity and your CIP expectations.

Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
