Description
100L Mobile Stainless Steel CIP Cleaning Vehicle
A 100L mobile CIP unit is usually specified when a plant needs a flexible cleaning skid that can be moved between production lines without hard-piping every circuit. The 100L working volume is a practical size for small to mid-size pipelines, tanks, and filler heads, but it is not a universal answer—cleaning capacity must match the soil load, circuit volume, and rinse water availability.
What the system does
CIP systems circulate detergent, rinse water, and sometimes sanitizer through tanks, pipes, valves, and process equipment on a timed cycle. The basic sequence is pre-rinse, alkaline wash, intermediate rinse, acid wash (if needed), final rinse, and drain. Temperature, flow, and contact time do most of the cleaning work; chemical concentration is secondary to maintaining turbulent flow across wetted surfaces.
Sizing and configuration
When sizing a 100L vehicle, engineers look at the largest single circuit volume and the total volume of all circuits cleaned in one batch. A 100L tank may be adequate for a 200–300L pipeline loop if the pump can deliver enough flow for turbulence, but heavily soiled vessels or long runs may require a larger tank or a multi-tank arrangement. We typically ask for pipe diameter, total line length, number of valves, and the soil type—protein, fat, sugar, or mineral scale—before recommending a configuration.
The vehicle can be built as a single-tank unit with electric or steam heating, or as a two- or three-tank system with dedicated alkaline, acid, and rinse tanks. Pump sets are selected for flow and pressure: centrifugal pumps for high flow at lower pressure, or positive displacement pumps when higher pressure is needed. Instrumentation can be as simple as analog gauges and manual valves, or as complete as PLC control with temperature, flow, pressure, and level transmitters and data logging. Stainless steel construction is standard; 304 covers most food and beverage cleaning, while 316L is specified for aggressive chemicals or pharmaceutical duty.

Applications
These vehicles are used in dairy processing, beverage production, breweries, distilleries, sauce manufacturing, liquid food processing, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical production. Requirements vary by soil type, chemical compatibility, and cleaning frequency—no single configuration fits every plant.
Common questions
How do I choose between single- and multi-tank? Single-tank units suit simple rinse-and-wash cycles with compatible chemicals. Multi-tank systems reduce changeover time and cross-contamination risk when alkaline and acid washes are both required.
Can the unit clean multiple circuits? Yes, with appropriate valving and return pump. The pump must handle the longest circuit and the highest pressure drop.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
