Description
Vertical Bright Beer Tanks for Carbonated Storage
We build these 10, 15, and 20 BBL vertical bright beer tanks for breweries that need stable, pressure-rated storage after fermentation. The tank holds beer during carbonation, clarification, and packaging. It is not a fermenter. A shallow cone or dished bottom helps solids drop away from the racking arm. We adjust working volume, jacket zones, and fittings to match your brewhouse and packaging line.
Materials and Fabrication
Product contact surfaces are 304 stainless steel. For high-chloride water or aggressive cleaning, we can quote 316L. Dimpled glycol jackets are welded to the side shell to add cooling area without taking floor space. After welding, we pickle and passivate heat-affected zones. Internal surfaces are polished to a sanitary finish, typically 0.4–0.8 µm Ra. Polyurethane insulation under stainless cladding reduces condensation and glycol load.
Pressure, Cooling, and Cleaning
Bright tanks operate under pressure. We supply a relief valve, pressure gauge, and carbonation stone port. The glycol jacket connects to your chiller loop; flow rate and jacket area determine how fast you can pull temperature before packaging. CIP uses a spray ball, sample valve, and racking arm. We can include butterfly valves, DIN or Tri-Clamp fittings, and a dry-hop port. Tell us your cleaning chemicals and cycle times so we confirm seal and gasket materials.

These tanks fit craft breweries, brewpubs, and contract packaging. A 10 BBL unit often suits a brewpub with low ceiling height. A 20 BBL tank works for a production brewery packaging several days per week. Check glycol capacity and floor space before specifying.
FAQ
Can I carbonate in this tank? Yes. Add a carbonation stone and pressure-rated relief valve. Time depends on beer temperature, head pressure, and stone placement.
Why a dimpled glycol jacket? It gives even shell coverage and leaves the interior smooth for CIP.
Do I need 316L? Most beer is fine in 304. If your water or cleaners carry high chlorides, ask us to review 316L.
What do you need for a quote? Batch size, beer type, working pressure, glycol supply temperature, available space, and connection standards.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
