Where a 2000-3000 L system actually fits

Most requests for this size come from breweries that have outgrown a 1000 L kit but are not ready to commit to a 5000 L brewhouse. The step up changes the whole workflow, not just the tank: lautering runs longer, the wort cooling load rises, and the cellar has to keep pace with the brewhouse instead of the other way around. We build these as two-vessel units (mash/lauter plus kettle/whirlpool) or three-vessel units, depending on how many brews per day your schedule requires.

Fabrication points worth asking about

Shells are 304 stainless as standard, with 316L available for wetted parts when your process water or cleaning regime calls for it. Bodies run 3 mm, cones and high-stress areas 4 mm. Dimple jackets sit on the kettle bottom and lower side wall; steam is the usual heat source, though electric and direct-fire configurations exist for sites without a boiler.

All welds are TIG, ground where product contact occurs, then pickled and passivated. Interior finish is typically Ra 0.6 um or better; exterior can be 2B mill or a #4 polish if the brewhouse is visible to guests. Insulation is 80 mm rock wool or PU under stainless cladding, which matters more than people expect on a vessel that sits hot all day.

Can one system run 2000 L and 3000 L batches? Yes, within limits. Below roughly 60 percent of rated volume, lauter bed depth and jacket coverage stop behaving predictably, so tell us the smallest batch you plan to brew.

Steam or electric? Steam gives faster, more even ramping above 2500 L. Electric is simpler for brewpubs without boiler capacity but slows step mashing.

How is cleaning handled? CIP supply and return ports are sized to your pump, with spray balls positioned for the whirlpool and kettle separately. We can pre-pipe the skid if you prefer a single connection point.
