Description
Volume is a batch number, not a weekly output
The 300L, 500L, 600L and 1000L figures describe what lands in the kettle per turn. A brewery running 500L four times a week will outproduce a 1000L system fired twice — yet the larger unit costs fewer labor hours per hectoliter. Those two facts pull buyers in opposite directions, and the right answer usually depends on how many brewers you have standing at the platform, not on the tank volume itself.
Fabrication points that decide service life
Contact surfaces are SUS304 as standard. We move to SUS316L when wort pH sits low, when caustic CIP cycles run hot and long, or when the building sits close to salt air. Product-side welds are full penetration, ground flush and passivated — pickling paste alone leaves crevices that show up as infection two years later. Interiors are polished to Ra ≤0.6 µm on request; mirror finish looks good in photos but does nothing for cleaning if the weld geometry is wrong.
Automation, noise and the panel
The PLC stores mash ramps, sparge temperature and hop timing so a shift change does not change the beer. Noise comes almost entirely from the burner and pump set, not the vessel. Enclosed combustion and insulated jackets keep our units near 70 dB at one meter, which matters in a taproom where the brewhouse sits behind glass.

Questions we get before the PO
Can one brewhouse cover two vessel sizes? No. The kettle, mash tun and whirlpool are matched hydraulically; upsizing one section throws off runoff and cooling.
Steam or electric? Above 600L, steam recovers faster between turns and is cheaper to run where a boiler exists. Electric suits sites without boiler permits.
How much floor space? Allow clearance for CIP return, wort line falls and access to every manway — roughly 1.2 m working aisle.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
