300L Copper Column Still — Who This Rig Is Actually For
Most of these 300L units leave our shop for one of two buyers: a craft distillery stepping up from a 100L or 200L starter still, or a small whiskey, rum or gin producer who wants a tighter cut than a plain pot still delivers. The column doesn\’t strip your spirit into neutral alcohol. It gives you reflux control, so you decide how much of the heavy, oily character stays in the run.

Copper placement
Copper belongs in the vapor path — column, swan neck, condenser. A stainless body with copper internals is a common compromise for distillers watching budget, and it works, though you lose some of the sulfur-scrubbing effect on the pot walls.
Steam or electric?
If your building already runs 3–4 bar steam, take the jacket. Otherwise electric is easier to permit and cheaper to install. We ask about your boiler room before quoting, because it changes the whole price.
Options worth settling early
Gin basket, agitator, plate count, CIP spray ball, condenser size. Adding a gin basket later means cutting the column — decide now.
Before you request a quote
Send us spirit type, batch schedule, ceiling height, door width, power supply, and whether you need CE or ASME documentation. That usually tells us within a day whether 300L fits your weekly output or whether you should be looking at a 500L instead.
