What a 300L fractional still actually does for you
Most of the 300L column stills we weld up leave the shop for one of two customers: a craft distillery running three to five mashes a week, or a restaurant group that wants house gin plus a bottled whiskey program without sinking money into a 1000L plant. The column gives you reflux control, so a single run can hold 150–165 proof while you still keep flavor in the tails cut.

Heating: where most quotes go sideways
Steam is cheaper to run once a boiler exists, and it holds temperature steady through a long run. Electric is what I push when there is no boiler room and the panel can carry 36kW. Two years ago a customer bought electric, then asked us to add a steam jacket after doubling production. If scaling is on your radar, order the jacket version first.
Options worth pricing upfront
Gin basket above the column, pot agitator, CIP spray ball, extra sight glasses, and a second condenser for stripping runs. We keep copper where vapor touches it — column internals and the lyne arm — because that is where the sulfur compounds get scrubbed.
Before we quote
Send us five things: product type (whiskey, gin, rum, neutral), target ABV and liters per day, ceiling height and floor loading, available voltage and water temperature, and destination port. With those we can lock plate count, crate size, and lead time in a day or two.
