450L Copper Still for Whiskey, Brandy, Rum, and Gin
We build the 450L copper distillation unit for distilleries that have outgrown a 200L or 300L pilot still but aren\’t ready for a 1000L production floor. In our shop, most 450L orders go to craft whiskey houses, brandy producers, rum distillers, and gin brands running 3–5 mashes per week.

Copper contact matters where vapor travels. We keep the pot, onion/helmet, lyne arm, and condenser in copper. Internal surfaces that only touch liquid can be stainless, which cuts cost and maintenance without changing spirit character. If you run gin, add a gin basket in the vapor path. Rum and fruit brandy benefit from an agitator with thicker washes. Steam heating gives gentler control and faster heat-up when you already have a boiler. Electric heating is simpler for smaller sites with limited steam.
Before quoting, send us your spirit type, target batch volume, heating preference, available voltage, cooling water temperature, ceiling height, and floor load. A 450L still can ship in one skid or split sections depending on door width. We also need to know if you want column plates, a doubler, or a separate condenser. Those choices affect lead time, footprint, and utility demand more than the copper thickness. If you\’re comparing 300L, 450L, and 500L, tell us your weekly production goal. We\’ll recommend the size that matches your fermenter capacity, not just the still tank.
