This 500L T2 red copper still is the size we build most for craft distilleries moving from 200L pilot runs to commercial batches. It fits whiskey, brandy, rum, and neutral alcohol, with a jacketed boiler and agitator for thicker washes and faster heat transfer.

Why 500L? A 200L or 300L unit works for recipe trials, seasonal releases, and small taproom sales. 500L suits a distillery running two to five batches per week without a full 1000L footprint. 1000L makes sense when you already have steady distribution and a boiler room. We usually ask for your target bottles per week before quoting, because tank size, heating, and condenser load all follow that number.
Electric heat is simpler: no steam boiler, lower upfront utility work, good for smaller sites. Steam jackets give gentler, more even heat and recover faster between batches, but you need a boiler, piping, and trained operators. For 500L, steam is common in regional distilleries; electric stills often go to brewpubs and small farms.
Copper should contact vapor and liquid where flavor matters. Our T2 red copper pot, swan neck, and lyne arm do that. The jacket and shell can be stainless where copper is not needed, which controls cost and cleaning. An agitator helps with grain-in washes and prevents scorching. A gin basket is a bolt-on option, not a default. Condenser choice changes proof and run time.
