500L copper still, built for working micro-distilleries
We build 500L copper distillation systems for distilleries that need a real batch size without jumping into 1000L overhead. Most customers step into 500L after running 100L or 200L and hitting fermenter limits, not because they want a showpiece. A 500L boiler gives useful runs for whiskey, rum, brandy, and gin, but it is still small enough for a two- or three-person floor.
Where copper matters
We keep copper in the vapor path: copper boiler dome, copper column sections, and copper condenser tubes where the spirit meets hot vapor. Stainless is fine for the boiler shell and internal supports. That mix controls cost and still gives the sulfur stripping distillers expect from copper contact. If you make gin, we can add a gin basket; for fruit brandy, an agitator reduces scorching on the heat surface.

Electric heating suits sites without a boiler but slows heat-up on 500L batches. Steam is faster and steadier if you already have a steam header; we flange the jacket for low-pressure steam. Tell us your wash ABV, target proof, run time, ceiling height, and available power before we quote. We have shipped 500L units to farm distilleries, contract whiskey makers, and small rum houses. The right configuration comes down to your fermenter size, utility room, and how often you run.
Sizing down or up: 200L fits trial batches and tight rooms; 300L suits small craft releases; 500L is the common step for steady weekly production; 1000L makes sense once you have two shifts or a dedicated boiler.
