Description
These 550 L, 600 L and 650 L vessels are the sizes we build most often for brewpubs running 5–7 BBL batches. Working volume leaves 20–25% headspace for krausen, and that number matters more than buyers expect — a 650 L tank filled to the rim will push foam out through the CIP arm on a high-gravity ale.
Shell and cone are 3 mm SUS304, with 316L available for sour programs or water with elevated chloride. Interior welds are ground, pickled and passivated, then polished to 0.4–0.6 µm Ra. The exterior is #4 brushed, or mirror polished when the tank stands in the taproom. Each unit is hydro-tested and the jacket is pressure-tested before crating.
Glycol flows through a dimple jacket on the cone and lower cylinder; on the larger sizes we split it into two zones so you can hold 50°F in the cone while the cylinder runs colder during crash cooling. Jacket design pressure is 15 psi. The vessel itself is rated to 2 bar (30 psi) with a top-mounted safety valve, which is what makes isobaric operation possible — spunding valve, carb stone and counter-pressure filling from the same tank.
Cleaning runs through a rotating spray ball in the dome, with 1.5\” tri-clamp ports for CIP supply and return. Standard fittings include racking arm, sample valve, dry hop port, pressure gauge and a 25% manway. We build to tri-clamp by default; DIN and butt-weld connections are available on request.

Common questions
550 or 650 L? Match the tank to your kettle, not your sales forecast. If 6 BBL comes out of the boil, a 650 L fermenter is tight once you add yeast and dry hops.
Why a conical bottom? A 60° cone drops yeast and trub into the bottom port so you can crop and dump without racking losses.
304 or 316L? 304 handles standard wort; 316L is for kettle sours and aggressive CIP chemistry.
How is CIP handled? Spray ball plus 1.5\” returns — caustic at 140°F, then acid, then sanitizer, without disassembly.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
