Description

800L Brewhouse System for Craft Breweries

An 800L brewhouse is specified when batch size, vessel footprint, and utility support must line up. Our system combines mash tun, lauter tun, kettle, and whirlpool tank in a sanitary stainless layout. We size working volumes, jackets, and piping around the brewery’s real brew length rather than a catalog number.

Material and fabrication

Product-contact surfaces are stainless steel. SUS304 suits most beer duty; 316L is used where chloride exposure, aggressive cleaning, or plant standards require it. Vessels are TIG welded, with seams pickled and passivated where needed. Interior welds are ground and polished; exterior finish can be brushed or mirror-polished. Gaskets, seals, and tri-clamp connections are selected for hot liquor, wort, steam, and CIP duty. Shell thickness, jacket pressure, and support legs are checked against the vessel’s working mass.

Process fit

Separate lauter and whirlpool vessels give cleaner runoff and trub separation. A combined kettle-whirlpool saves floor space but needs careful runoff, hop handling, and cleaning planning. Mash tun geometry, false bottom clearance, and sparge flow should match the grist and brew schedule. This size works for craft breweries testing an 800L batch before expansion, brewpubs with limited utilities, and contract producers running repeat recipes.

FAQ

Do we need separate mash and lauter tuns? Not always. Separate vessels add flexibility and faster turnarounds; a combined unit reduces footprint and capital cost.

Why choose 316L? It improves corrosion resistance in chloride or harsh cleaning conditions. Standard beer duty often remains practical in 304.

What utilities must be confirmed? Steam or power load, cooling water, compressed air, floor drains, and available height all affect the final layout.

Procurement notes

Send batch size, beer type, fermentation tank count, and space limits before asking for a quote. A layout sketch and utility list shorten engineering review. Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
