Description
Where a 600 L tank fits in the brewery
Most buyers who ask about this size are running a 500 L brewhouse and want one vessel to hold a full batch with room for krausen. A 600 L working volume gives roughly 750 L of geometric space, which is about 25 percent headspace above the wort line. Heavily dry-hopped IPAs need more than that, so tell us your hop load before we cut the shell.
Materials and fabrication
The inner shell is 3 mm SUS304, the outer cladding 2 mm, both from mill-certified coil. Shell seams are TIG welded, then ground and passivated; wetted surfaces finish at Ra 0.8 µm or better. A dimple jacket wraps the cylinder and lower cone, which is what lets you crash cool from 68°F to 34°F in a single shift without stratification. Insulation is 80 mm injected polyurethane. For sour programs or mixed-fermentation work, 316L on the wetted side is available at a cost premium and a longer lead time.
Design pressure is 0.3 MPa, working pressure 0.2 MPa, with a spring-loaded safety valve, pressure gauge, and a relief set at the factory. The gauge is an indicator, not a safety device.
Fittings and CIP
Standard fit-out: 400 mm top manway, CIP spray ball on a 1.5 in tri-clamp port, dry hop port, racking arm set above the cone, 1.5 in bottom outlet, sample valve, and glycol in/out stubs on the jacket. Cleaning runs as a closed loop, and the spray ball has to reach the cone, so port positions are locked in before fabrication.

Common questions
Single wall or jacketed? If your cellar sits above 68°F for more than a few weeks a year, take the jacket. Ale fermentation generates its own heat and needs removal, not warming.
How many tanks? One 600 L fermenter suits a brewpub turning a batch every ten days. Brewing twice a week means two tanks plus a bright beer tank.
Can it carbonate? Yes, up to the working pressure, provided the relief valve is set correctly and the cone outlet is sized for the transfer pump.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
