10 BBL Brite Tank for Carbonation and Cold Conditioning
A 10 BBL brite tank finishes beer: carbonation is set, yeast and haze drop, and the vessel holds pressure until packaging. This unit has a cooling jacket and insulation to keep beer at 32–38°F without loading the cellar. The CO2 carbonation stone lets you carbonate through a sintered element instead of forcing gas through the top head.
We build the product side in 304 stainless steel. 316L is available for high-acid fruit beers or long storage. The inner shell is pickled, passivated and polished to a sanitary finish. Wetted welds are full-penetration and ground smooth. Outer finish can be brushed or mirror polished.
Cooling comes from a side and cone jacket. Insulation is 80–100 mm polyurethane under stainless cladding. That reduces glycol demand and condensation in humid packaging rooms. The CO2 stone mounts low in the cone with a check valve and sight glass, so gas rises through the full liquid column.
Pressure rating is critical. A 10 BBL brite tank often runs at 15–30 psi, but the relief valve, gauge and fittings must match the tank rating. We hydrotest each vessel and set the relief valve before shipment. CIP uses a top spray ball; the cone drain and racking arm keep cleaning and product transfer separate.
Brewpubs may run one 10 BBL tank for carbonation and packaging. Regional breweries often use several in parallel, with a glycol solenoid per tank. If batch size, beer style, height and glycol supply are known, we can confirm jacket area, port layout and bottom style.

FAQ
Can it ferment beer? It is built for brite beer, carbonation and cold conditioning. Fermentation needs different cone geometry and cooling capacity.
Why carbonate in a brite tank? You can drop yeast first, then carbonate with a stone at controlled pressure and temperature.
Do I need a glycol chiller? Yes. We size jacket area based on batch, ambient room and desired crash time.
