Description
1000L Conical Beer Fermenter with Dimple Jacket Glycol Cooling
We build this 1000L fermenter for breweries moving from pilot batches into repeatable production. The tank suits ale, lager, IPA, stout, and mixed fermentation programs when the jacket and control loop are sized for your actual crash-cooling load. A conical bottom helps yeast drop, trub removal, and dry hopping without racking the beer twice.
The vessel is normally made from SUS304 or, for higher chloride exposure or aggressive cleaning cycles, SUS316L. We TIG weld the shell, cone, and dimple jacket, then pressure test each tank before polishing. Interior finish can be 0.4–0.8 µm mechanical polish; exterior can be brushed or mirror polished depending on your brewhouse appearance. Sanitary tri-clamp fittings, DIN or SMS ports, and food-grade gaskets keep seals serviceable. Dimple jackets increase cooling surface and support glycol flow around the cone and body.
Cooling control matters because fermentation generates heat. Without stable jacket temperature, diacetyl reduction, yeast flocculation, and final gravity can drift batch to batch. We can supply jackets on the cone, body, or both, with insulation and a stainless cladding if the tank sits in a warm room. Working pressure, relief valve setting, and CIP spray ball placement are matched during fabrication—not added later.
Typical Applications
- Craft breweries producing 8–15 brews per month
- Brewpubs needing one tank for multiple ale styles
- Contract brewing with variable batch schedules
- Beverage plants testing fermented RTD products

FAQ
Do I need a conical bottom? For most breweries, yes. It gives yeast and hop debris a place to collect, so you can dump before packaging. Flat-bottom tanks can work for some fermentations, but they limit dry hopping and yeast recovery.
How do I connect glycol, beer lines, and CIP? We map ports to your layout: glycol in/out, racking arm, sample valve, pressure relief, blow-off, and CIP. Send a P&ID or simple sketch if you have one.
What affects price most? Stainless grade, jacket coverage, pressure rating, polish level, insulation, and custom ports. A 1000L tank with cone and body jackets costs more than a single-zone body jacket, but it holds lagering temperatures more evenly.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
