Description
We build this 3000L copper pot column still for craft distilleries that need production volume without buying two separate systems. The copper pot strips sulfur and builds mouthfeel. The column adds reflux, so you can run whiskey, vodka, gin, and brandy on one frame by changing plates, cuts, and gin basket setup.
At 3000L, steam heating is the practical choice. Electric works, but the elements, contactors, and power supply get expensive, and heat-up is slower. We usually quote a steam jacket with a shell-and-tube condenser and a CIP pump sized for the column and pot. Copper contact belongs in the pot, column, and vapor path; stainless is fine for the CIP tank and pipework where copper won’t change flavor.

Most clients pick 200L–500L for recipe trials, 1000L for small whiskey programs, and 3000L when they have steady bottle sales. If you only run gin, a smaller pot with a larger basket may beat a 3000L column. If you make whiskey, plate count and condenser design affect spirit character as much as pot size.
Before we quote, send wash ABV, target proof, batch time, steam pressure or kW, ceiling height, floor drain, and CE scope. We also need to know if you want agitator, CIP pump, gin basket, or extra column sections. Shipping a 3000L still is not a crate job—measure doorways and rigging points first.
