We build copper pot stills and distillation columns for craft distilleries, whiskey makers, and gin producers. The right setup depends less on a catalog number and more on your batch size, spirit style, and utility room.
Sizing that matches real production
200L works for recipe trials and small gin runs. 300L and 500L are common for young whiskey, rum, and brandy houses running a few days a week. 1000L makes sense when you already have fermentation and bottling capacity to keep the still busy.
Heat source and copper contact
Electric heating avoids a boiler and fits smaller floors. Steam heats faster and holds steady temperatures at 500L and above, but you need boiler capacity and return lines. We put copper where it affects flavor: column sections, lyne arm, and condenser. The boiler can be stainless with copper internals if you want easier cleaning.
Options we actually install
Gin baskets, agitators, CIP spray balls, and different condensers change the quote and the footprint. We have seen undersized condensers slow a run and force longer shifts. Tell us your spirit, batch size, ABV, voltage or steam pressure, ceiling height, and floor drain location. That is enough for us to size a column, recommend a still, and send a realistic drawing before you commit.
