We make this 300L copper distillation setup for craft distilleries moving past pilot runs. The pot still, column, and vapor path use copper where it contacts spirit; the jacket, frame, and non-contact parts are stainless. That balance keeps the weld schedule practical and the still light enough for a standard mezzanine.

Electric heat: what it changes on site
Most customers choose electric heating because they don\’t want to install a steam boiler on day one. For 300L, we usually build 3-phase with modular elements. You get faster ramp on spirit runs, but you need to confirm available amps. Steam still makes sense if you already have a boiler and plan to run 500L or 1000L later. With electric, keep the control panel within 10-15 ft and leave clearance for element changes.
Options we quote most often
- Gin basket: for vapor-infused gin; sized to the column diameter.
- Agitator: useful for grain-in whiskey or high-solids wash.
- Condenser: shell-and-tube for vodka reflux, shotgun for whiskey.
Tell us your wash charge, target proof, spirit type, and utility voltage before we price the system. That tells us whether a 300L is right or if a 200L or 500L will save you money. Also send floor space, ceiling height, and delivery access. We have shipped to second-floor units where the column had to be split. A quick site check avoids crane costs and downtime.
