Description
Most 300L stills that leave our shop go to a distillery already running a 100L or 200L unit — someone who needs a bigger charge but doesn\’t want to rebuild the boiler room. A 300L kettle takes a 240–270L charge at 20–25% ABV wash, which usually fills a 200L low-wines tank in a single strip run.

Electric or steam? Follow your boiler, not the catalog
No steam boiler on site means electric: 380V three-phase immersion elements, 18–24 kW at this size, with a contactor panel rated above the element load. Steam-jacketed kettles cost more upfront but heat evenly and let you move to a 500L or 1000L kettle later off the same boiler. Roughly half our 300L orders are steam, and almost every one of those customers already fires a boiler for mashing.
Where copper has to touch the vapor
Copper in the kettle, column, and condenser handles the sulfur. We don\’t line the whole body — a stainless shell with 3mm copper contact surfaces gives you the chemistry without a fully copper still that dents and needs polishing every season. The gin basket sits above the column; the inline version keeps botanicals out of the pot so you can swap them mid-run.
Agitator, sight glasses, parrot, and CIP spray ball all bolt on at build time and are painful to add later. Check your ceiling first: column plus condenser wants about 3.2 m of headroom, and the condenser needs 20–25 L/min of cooling water at 20°C.
Before we quote, send your wash volume and ABV, available power or steam pressure, ceiling height, and whether you\’re running whiskey, rum, or neutral spirit. Those four answers decide the column and heating package — not a generic spec sheet.
