Description
What a 7 BBL brewery system is for
A 7 BBL batch is roughly 8.2 hl of finished wort per brew. This size suits brewpubs, small craft breweries and beverage plants moving from pilot batches to scheduled production. We usually build it as a 2-vessel or 3-vessel brewhouse with mash/lauter, kettle/whirlpool, hot liquor tank, plate chiller and cellar tanks. The layout depends on your floor space, steam or electric heating, and how often you plan to brew.
Materials and fabrication
Product-contact parts are normally SUS304; for high-chloride cleaning or longer acid exposure we discuss SUS316L on wetted surfaces. Welds are ground and pickled where needed, with sanitary connections and food-grade gaskets. We check shell thickness, jacket pressure and insulation before shipment. Polishing standard matters more on visible surfaces than on hidden jacket areas; over-polishing can add cost without improving hygiene.

Selection notes
For small craft plants, a compact 2-vessel system with staggered brews can fit tight rooms. Commercial breweries with several beers per week often need more hot liquor capacity and larger cellar cooling. Confirm utilities before layout: steam pressure, power load, water quality, drain capacity and glycol supply.
FAQ
Do I need conical fermenters? Conical bottoms help yeast harvest and dry hopping; open or dish-bottom tanks may suit beverage lines with different solids. How is CIP handled? We arrange spray balls, drain slopes and pump return paths so cleaning follows the same loop as wort and beer transfer. Can the system run different beer styles? Yes, but valve layout and control recipes should be agreed early.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
