Description

Built Around Your Batch Size, Not a Catalog

Most brewery projects we quote start with the same question: what vessel volume actually matches the fermenter and brewhouse we can afford to run? A 2000L line and a 5000L line use different pump sizes, different cooling loads, and different floor space. We build the brewhouse, fermenters, and production line as one package so the volumes match from the start.

Vessel Construction

We use SUS304 for brewhouse vessels and fermenters as standard, with 316L offered for the wort contact side where chloride exposure or long holding times are a concern. Interior welds are ground and passivated; exterior welds are left pickled. The cone and dish heads are formed, not fabricated from flat sheet, which reduces stress points around the jacket welds.

Insulation is polyurethane, typically 80–100mm on fermenters, with a stainless cladding that can be polished to a brushed or mirror finish depending on how visible the tanks will be in the taproom.

Temperature and Pressure

Dimple jackets on the cone and lower cylinder handle glycol cooling. Ale fermentation runs warmer and needs less jacket area than lager, so we size the jacket to the beer style and the ambient room temperature rather than fitting the same cooling area to every tank. Working pressure is normally 2 bar for fermentation and up to 3 bar for carbonation-capable tanks; the safety valve and pressure gauge are matched to that rating, and we send the pressure vessel documentation with the shipment.

CIP and Piping

Each tank gets a rotating spray ball, CIP supply and return connections, and a sample valve at mid-height. Racking arm ports sit above the cone so you can draw clear beer without disturbing the yeast bed. We can supply a central CIP skid or tie the tanks into your existing loop — tell us the pump capacity and line diameter you are running.

FAQ

Can one line run both ale and lager? Yes, but the jacket area and glycol chiller capacity need to be sized for the colder fermentation, not the warmer one.

Cone bottom or flat? Conical fermenters let you drop yeast and harvest it; flat-bottom tanks suit cask or sour programs where you are not cropping yeast.

Do you handle shipping and installation? We crate for container shipment and provide layout drawings and connection diagrams. Site supervision can be arranged.

Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
