Description

These tanks are built for breweries that need reliable fermentation capacity without overcomplicating the process. We manufacture 2000L, 2500L, 3000L and 5000L units with PLC-based temperature control, dimple cooling jackets, and conical bottoms. The vessels work for ale, lager, and specialty fermentation where repeatability matters. Craft breweries, brewpubs, and regional producers use them for primary fermentation, yeast propagation, and bright beer holding.

Materials and construction

We use SUS304 for the inner shell and outer cladding as standard. For high-chloride cleaning regimes or aggressive products, 316L is available on request. Welds are TIG with full penetration on product-contact joints, then pickled and passivated. Interior surfaces reach Ra ≤0.8 µm; exterior is brushed or mirror-polished depending on your cleaning expectations. Shaft seals and gaskets are food-grade EPDM or silicone. Every tank is hydro-tested at 1.5× design pressure before shipment.

Cooling and control

Dimple jackets on the cone and lower cylinder handle crash cooling and steady fermentation temperatures. The PLC manages glycol valves, records temperature trends, and can integrate with your existing brewery management system. Pressure relief valves are set to your working pressure—typically 1.5–2.5 bar—and we match the valve certificate to local codes.

FAQ

What tank size fits my batch? Match nominal volume to your brew length plus 20–25% headspace for krausen. A 2000L tank suits 15–18 hl batches; 5000L handles 40–45 hl.

Why conical bottom? It concentrates yeast for harvesting and speeds cleaning. Flat-bottom tanks work for serving but are not ideal for fermentation.

How is CIP connected? We supply a rotating spray ball on the top manway, with separate ports for CIP supply and return. Your cleaning skid connects via tri-clamp fittings.

Can I add dry-hopping? Yes—we can include a dedicated dry-hop port with a sanitary valve.

Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
