Description
A 2000 L turnkey brewery is a working capacity, not one machine. When we quote this size, the package normally covers a two- or three-vessel brewhouse, four to eight conical fermenters, one or two brite tanks, and the glycol chiller, CIP cart and piping that tie them together. The 2000 L figure refers to wort in the kettle. Fermenters are sized 20–25% larger, because krausen needs somewhere to go during high-krausen ale fermentation.
Fabrication and material choices
Shells are SUS304 as standard; 316L is worth the upcharge on brewhouse wort-contact surfaces when the local water runs high in chloride. Up to 2000 L we use 3 mm plate on fermenters and 4 mm on brite tanks rated for 2.5–3 bar carbonation. Interior welds are ground flush, pickled and passivated, then polished to Ra ≤ 0.8 µm. Exterior stays 2B or brushed — a mirror jacket only earns its cost on a tank standing in the taproom.
A 60° cone handles most ale and lager yeast. For dry-hopped or high-grain beers, a 70–90° cone discharges trub and hop matter faster. Single-zone jackets are enough at this volume; two zones start paying off above 3000 L, where one jacket leaves a warm band during crash cooling.

Where this size fits
Brewpubs running 800–1500 hL a year, contract brewers adding a batch line, and beverage producers putting hard seltzer or kombucha through the same tanks. All three groups care about the same thing: how fast a tank turns around between batches.
Questions we get before quoting
Glycol or direct expansion? Glycol, almost always. DX cools faster but a 2000 L jacket can freeze product against the wall if the controller drifts.
How many fermenters? Divide annual volume by batch count, then add one vessel for scheduling slack. Most 2000 L brewpubs settle on six.
Is a brite tank necessary? If you package or keg carbonated beer, yes. Carbonating in a fermenter ties up the tank for an extra day or two.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
