Description
Breweries that brew every day and breweries that brew once a week do not need the same system. The 2000L–20000L band sits right on that divide, which is why we ask about batch frequency before quoting a brewhouse. A 2000L line running four days a week and a 20000L plant casting two brews a day are entirely different configurations, even if both are described as craft brewery equipment in the same category.
Materials and fabrication
Wort contact surfaces are 3 mm SUS304 with a 2 mm outer shell and polyurethane insulation between. Where CIP chemistry runs acidic or high-chloride, we switch the contact side to 316L, and that decision follows your cleaning program rather than a default upgrade. Vessels are TIG welded on automatic rigs, interior surfaces polished to Ra ≤ 0.8 µm, and passivated at the manway, cone and jacket penetrations, which is where pitting starts if the finish is rushed.
Control and utilities
The PLC/HMI layer runs mash curves, temperature loops and CIP sequences. Each fermenter carries its own cooling jacket and PT100, so glycol only enters the tank that asks for it. We send a utility schedule covering steam, glycol, compressed air and electrical load before shipment, since most European install delays trace back to utility specs rather than the tanks themselves.
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Batch size | 2000–20000 L per brew |
| Contact material | SUS304 standard, 316L optional |
| Insulation | Polyurethane, cladded shell |
| Control | PLC + HMI, recipe storage |
| Scope | Mill, brewhouse, fermenters, CIP, chiller |
Where this fits
Contract brewing, regional craft plants adding capacity, and beverage producers running beer alongside other fermented products. Give us your floor plan early; tank spacing and pipe routing decide more of the layout than the vessel dimensions do.
Common questions
Does doubling batch size double the tank? Not linearly. Height limits in rented buildings often push you toward wider diameters, which changes jacket area and cooling demand.
Can we add fermenters later? Yes, if the glycol header and PLC I/O are sized for the final count at the start.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
