300L Copper Fractional Distillery — Built, Not Assembled
Most buyers who land on the 300L come from one of two places: a restaurant group adding a small-batch spirits brand, or an existing distillery that has outgrown a 100L pilot still but isn\’t ready to jump to a 1000L train. We\’ve shipped this size to whiskey producers, gin houses, and a couple of rum operations in the Caribbean. It\’s the workhorse of the middle range, and it holds up to daily runs.
Where the copper touches the vapor is what matters. Our kettle is 3 mm red copper. The onion head and the vapor path through the first column section are copper as well — that\’s where sulfur compounds get scrubbed off and where you get the mouthfeel people pay for. Above that we use stainless for the plate sections. Copper plates photograph well, but they wear faster and cost more to replace.

Heating is the choice that catches people out. Electric at 36 kW is simple: no boiler, no steam permit, faster install. Steam jackets give gentler ramp rates and tighter control on slow whiskey runs, but you need a boiler and, in most jurisdictions, a licensed operator. If your site has no steam, don\’t buy steam.
Footprint runs about 4.5 m × 2.5 m with 4.2 m clear height for column removal. The whole system ships in one 40HQ container with the columns broken down. Order a spare gasket and plate set with the still — freight on a second shipment costs more than the parts.
