500L Copper Distillation System for Gin, Whiskey, and Vodka
A 500L still usually lands in the sweet spot for small-to-mid craft distilleries. We\’ve shipped this size to gin houses running 4–6 batches per week, whiskey makers doing seasonal runs, and vodka producers who need a flexible pot-column combo. It\’s small enough to fit a compact production room, large enough to keep a bottling line busy without running 24/7.

Copper contact matters most in the vapor path, column, gin basket, and condenser. We use copper for the pot, onion head, column sections, and condenser tubes; stainless for internal supports and non-contact parts. That keeps flavor chemistry active where it counts and controls cost where it doesn\’t.
Heating choice changes your utility work. Electric is simpler for sites without steam; steam gives faster heat-up and gentler control across larger batches. If you\’re planning 1000L later, tell us now—skid layout and condenser sizing can be set for future expansion.
Options: gin basket, agitator, CIP, reflux column, plate sections, sight glasses, spirit safe, and automated cuts. Don\’t order all of them unless your recipe needs them.
Before We Quote
Send your target ABV, batch size, wash type, heating source, ceiling height, floor drain location, and local electrical voltage. Also tell us if you need UL/CE, ASME, or specific copper thickness. We\’ll confirm drawings, lead time, and shipping dimensions. 500L is often right; 300L fits tighter rooms, 1000L suits higher-volume whiskey. Match the still to your fermentation and barrel plan, not the other way around.
