600L Copper Pot Column Still
We build this 600L unit as a modular system: column, gin basket, and condenser can be swapped or upgraded later without cutting into the main pot. Most buyers at this size are running three to five batches a week and need one vessel to handle whiskey stripping, gin redistillation, and brandy spirit runs without a second still.

Heating, copper, and the options that actually matter
Steam heats faster and holds temperature evenly, but it needs a boiler and a proper steam room. Electric is easier to install and works fine at 600L. We ship electric unless the customer already runs steam. Copper goes where vapor touches: pot, column, lyne arm. The outer shell stays stainless so cleanup is quicker and the price stays sane.
A gin basket in the vapor path is the usual add-on for gin producers. The agitator is worth it for grain mashes, less so for molasses. On a recent order, a Kentucky crew took a 600L with steam jacket and two gin baskets — they run whiskey four days a week and gin on Fridays.
What to send before we quote
Wash or mash type, target ABV, batches per week, ceiling height, floor loading, and available voltage. A 600L still with column stands roughly 3.2 m and needs about 2.5 m of clear space for the manway. If your ceiling is under 3.5 m, we can split the column for on-site assembly.
