We build these onion-shaped copper pot column stills in 200L, 300L, 500L, and 1000L working capacities. A 200L or 300L unit suits a small craft distillery doing test runs, seasonal gin, or limited whiskey releases. The 500L still is the middle ground we see most often: enough volume for weekly production without a boiler room overhaul. At 1000L, you are usually filling barrels or running continuous gin contracts, so steam heating and a larger condenser become practical.
Copper contact matters where vapor and wash meet. Our pot, column, and vapor path use copper; the onion dome gives you headroom for reflux and a cleaner cut. If you make gin, add a gin basket. For rum or whiskey, an agitator helps with viscous wash and even heat. Condenser choice depends on your cooling water and floor space.
Heating, utilities, and the details that change a quote
Electric heating is simpler for 200L–500L skids, especially where steam is not available. Steam jackets make more sense above 500L, or when you already run a boiler. Tell us your wash ABV, desired proof, batch time, and available power. For installation, plan for ceiling height, drainage, and clearance for the column. Shipping a 1000L system is not a one-pallet job; we crate by section and send rigging notes.
Send your target spirit, batch size, heating source, and voltage/phase. We will recommend the pot size, copper thickness, and options without guessing.
