Description
Built for the Point Where Storage Becomes a Bottleneck
A 10,000-liter vessel is usually the tank a brewery buys when packaging can no longer keep pace with fermentation. It holds finished beer ahead of the filler, receives blended batches, or buffers between centrifuge and canning line. We build these as vertical cylindrical tanks with a dished or conical bottom, three shell courses, and a dimple jacket welded directly to the outer wall.
Material choice: 304 or 316L
Both grades show up on the same order sheet, and the decision comes down to what touches the beer and what touches the floor. 304 handles standard ales, lagers, and seltzer base without trouble. Where CIP chemicals carry chlorides, where the product is acidic or heavily dry-hopped, or where the tank sits in coastal air, 316L earns its cost back. Product-contact surfaces are TIG welded with argon backing, ground flush, then pickled and passivated. Interior finish runs 0.4 to 0.8 µm Ra on the wetted side; a mill finish outside is fine unless the tank stands in a taproom.
Cooling, pressure, and connections
Glycol jacket coverage depends on whether the tank only holds cold beer or also crashes temperature. Straight storage gets two zones; tanks that crash get three. Insulation is 80–100 mm polyurethane under stainless cladding. A mechanical pressure relief valve and a vacuum breaker protect the shell during CIP and transfer. Working pressure on a storage vessel stays well below that of a fermentation unitank, and we size shell thickness and relief settings to match the duty you describe. Standard fittings include a CIP spray ball, racking arm, sample valve, level gauge, dry-hop or access port, and 1.5-inch or 2-inch tri-clamp outlets.
Where these tanks end up
- Regional breweries holding bright beer ahead of a 60–120 cpm canning line
- Beverage plants storing syrups, seltzer base, and non-alcoholic blends
- Contract packers needing flexible buffer capacity between vessels
- Distilleries and kombucha producers with lower-pressure storage needs

Questions we get before quoting
Can it hold carbonated beer under pressure? Storage tanks are not fermentation unitanks. If you need to hold 1.5–2.5 volumes of CO2, say so early so we adjust shell thickness and relief valve settings.
How is it cleaned? One or two CIP spray balls, sized to tank diameter and shell height. A typical cycle is caustic, rinse, sanitizer, with the vacuum breaker open during the hot phase.
What do you need from us? Batch size, product type, jacket duty, ceiling height, indoor or outdoor placement, and whether the tank will be visible to customers.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
