Description
Most breweries contact us about a 2500 L bright beer tank after a carbonation problem, not a capacity problem. Beer sits in this vessel under pressure long enough to finish carbonating and drop clear, so the tank has to hold 2.5 bar without creeping, chill fast, and clean completely.
We build the shell from 3 mm SUS304 as standard. 316L is worth the extra cost when the tank will see fruit beers, sour programs, or aggressive acid CIP. Internal welds are ground and polished to Ra ≤0.8 µm, then pickled and passivated — no brush finish left on a crevice. The dimple glycol jacket covers the cylinder and both dished ends. A jacket on the shell alone chills the middle and leaves the top warm, which is where most carbonation inconsistency actually starts. Under that, 100 mm polyurethane and 1.5 mm stainless cladding keep condensation off the cellar floor.
| Nominal volume | 2500 L (gross 2750 L) |
| Working / test pressure | 2.5 bar / 3.75 bar |
| Product contact | SUS304 or SUS316L |
| Internal finish | Ra ≤0.8 µm, pickled and passivated |
| Cooling | Dimple glycol jacket, cylinder and ends |
| Insulation | 100 mm PU, stainless cladding |
| Standard fittings | Top manway, 360° CIP spray ball, racking arm, sample valve, carbonation stone, PRV, pressure gauge, thermowell |
| Support | 3 or 4 adjustable legs, leveling feet |
Connections are sanitary clamp or DIN, so your existing hoses and pump fittings work without adapters. The spring-loaded PRV is sized to the shell rating, not to whatever was on the shelf.
A brewpub running 500–1000 L fermenters usually wants one 2500 L tank as a finishing vessel. Regional breweries tend to pair it with a filtration and carbonation line. If you package on a counter-pressure filler, specify a dual-zone jacket and an adjustable racking arm — you will want clear beer without tilting the tank.
Questions we get before quoting
Can it ferment as well as condition? Yes, if you add a conical bottom and hop port. Flat-bottom bright tanks are cheaper and easier to clean, but they do not dump trub.
How is CIP handled? Spray ball on the manway, return line at the lowest point, and a pump sized for 1.5–2 bar at the ball. Below that, the top of the tank does not get wet.
What about glycol supply? Tell us your chiller temperature and flow rate; jacket area is matched to your crash-cooling time, not guessed.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
